Nowadays it remains stormy. Like in 2007, December on the beach. It’s cloudy too. But a photographer always enjoys. Just when the weather is bad. I look for the reflection and succeeded in my efforts. Rule of thirds may be. Anyway….

Let there be light! This time, walking in Amsterdam, I encountered the museum of Vincent van Gogh.
In the neighborhood I saw this window. The closing forgotten by an employee I think. Anyway it brakes the pattern of a modern building. So I had tot photograph it.
Sometimes the eye sees the light even before you think about your camera.

There’s something build in our mind. Years of indoctrination have been made about Vincent van Gogh. A man who appeals to the imagination. It all started by reading his letters to his brother. A visit to a museum. Experiencing his metamorphoses about light and colors. Here in Denmark I met hem seeing the sloping willow with the poppies and the wheat field. I had to think of him immediately. I could no resist to make a photograph because of the lines and so on….

My today’s shot is from the early morning. I saw the light coming through the window. Withdrawn it seems. Light on the Valentine’s rose standing nearby in the room.
A beauty of light. Light that likes any photographer.
For me it was not easy to make a tack sharp image. On the other hand it was my pleasure to see the light.
I like the color too.
It feels a kind of magic.

A lake again. Sweden again. This time I camped at the lakeside. An evening and morning I will never forget. It’s because the lack of noise. Nowhere a noise to be found or heard. Just sunshine and reflection of clouds in the lake. I love that silence. And especially the silence after the click of the camera.

I love that reflection on one of the Swedish lakes I visited. I like the distance they show at their presentation. It’s a feeling of being a small person in the universe. Always when I travel through that large country a sense of nullity happens. The panoramic view not only brings desolation, but also the idea of distance. A golden combination of eternity.

I’ve got some experience with poppies (look at my blog of June 17th, 2019). You have to act immediately before they are gone. Sometimes you are too late. So this time I layed down. Besides many times when you lay down you see more an different things. As my former teacher said: “Your POV determines your perspective”. And she was right as always.

I saw this light hanging over the land and I ‘parked’ my bike. At this side of the ditch I had a wonderful view. The trees have been shaped because of the wind coming from the seaside.

Some trees have power. The power to sustain all kinds of weather. I like them. Especially wen the trunks are full of structure. I found this one quite alone in the national park ‘De Hoge Veluwe’ during a bike ride. I likes the sunshine on the main trunk. Some people can talk with trees. I think everybody can talk to them. I just said ‘good morning’. It was sufficient for that moment.
