Love is where the heart is.

CONCEPT II

Style is something personal. Sometimes it is region bound. A deviating construction is not only ‘not allowed’ by the municipality ordinances, but it is also ‘not done’. Anyway after some years time it will show you united colors.

ENJOY!

CONCEPT

Farmers do have a concept of their own. However it is different from region to region. I met this one in the east of Holland. It is called ‘de Achterhoek’. It is easy to recognize because of the structure. I love it. It is a certain style.

ENJOY!

RED

How red can it be at the port of Terschelling!

LINES

Sometimes you discover lines in the landscape. This time, during winter, I have been at Terschelling – one of the Wadden Islands in Holland. A very nice place to stay for a week or so. I encountered the woods in the West of Terschelling and during summer at some places it’s wet. So the remains of the reed formed a nice decor together with the trees. It is called the Longway. And indeed it’s a long way to the beach.

ENJOY!

REPETITION

It is not on purpose that I photographed the snowy trees. It just have to be like that. I have learned to always immediately photograph what you like. The moment itself has gone before you know it. The core proces of street photography. For me there is no difference elsewhere. So I grab the camera as soon as I see something that hits me. This time it is the forest with the fresh snow on the trees, because of the repetition of it.

ENJOY!

SHADOWS

I love shadows. Especially the form of it. Unexpected, like there is the unexpected light.

Especially in landscapes. Photography is a real encouragement, because of the clouds.

This one I made during a winter walk near my home.

ENJOY!

POV

That’s how they name it. POV. Point of View. Ans I learned a long time ago: ‘your point of view defines the perspective’. And it is true in photography and elsewhere. During my walk in ‘de Biesbosch’ (a nature park in Holland) I encountered those trees. So I layed down….

ENJOY!

DANGER

Once I met a meadow with electric fence and barbed wire. A combination you can’t love. However photographically spoken it’s an encouragement. So I decided to make a black and white image. Happily it was an old fence.

ENJOY!

LIGHT

The light is always there. Sometimes you have to look for it. When you find it you are a lucky one. Without light no live. No photography too.

In nature light is responsible for a lot of things. But to capture the light is a different story. I hope I succeeded.

ENJOY!
