When you walk in a forest you will be overwhelmed by the power of nature. Perhaps it is a thoughtless force. A force not guided by consciousness. Before that, something else had to happen. However, people do not always seem to be aware of that power. It turns out to be a force that surrounds people with safety. When things get exciting around us, we go into nature. Survival in nature always appeals to the imagination. There appear to be other laws in nature. Not only vigor or growth power, but there is also ‘the right of the strongest’. The Lion King is an example of this. Maybe it is causing us to be on our guard in the woods. You never know what you will come across. In any case, there is a lot to experience and it never gets boring when you look around you.

Gaudi, I had to think of him. Somehow I feel attracted to nature. I see patterns in nature earlier than anywhere else. I once read about Gaudi that he had incorporated natural elements in his Sagrada Familia. Fool or genius. He was the founder of organic architecture. Looking at the botanical richness around me, I often think of him.

One of the special features of the Scandinavian country is the forest. Wherever you look, everywhere you often see trees accompanied by huge boulders. Most arose some 2,000 million years ago at kilometers depth in the Earth’s crust from glowing hot liquid magma. The remains of this development can be found everywhere. It has something magical. Especially the dimensions. And there you walk …..

The nights in Sweden are very special. You always camp somewhere by a lake or something. Then the sunset is a special experience in itself. But the nights are certainly unique. Light is always there, somewhere. Especially if you are there around the longest day. Spectacular even. Especially if you are not used to this. Reading a book at midnight and not turning on a light is a special experience. Taking a photo in the middle of the night is also special.

The longing for summer has never been greater than in this era of corona. Everywhere you see people walking and cycling. Many people with gray hair and bicycles with support. The ice man is a beloved guest and eagerly ice is taking. Certainly also because of the nostalgic appearance. Furthermore, the environment is as Dutch as it can be. With a castle and a church. Everything under historic preservation, of course, because it is impossible without regulation. The ice cream was delicious and a nice break of my today’s trip by bike.

Whistling herb is in bloom every year. In spring, first there is the yellow, followed by the color white. Every time I have been touched by the delicate spectacle. Especially when moving on the wind. Then it is as if they like to dance for you. I can’t get enough of it. Every year I have to photograph the little ones. In one way or another I have to keep isolating something, as if the beauty is better done then. I do not know what that is. A sense of detail perhaps. In any case, my eye is drawn towards them. This year no difference.

However it shows the way of growing tall. I am always impressed by the power of nature. I know it is destroying too, but I love it. And at destroying times you have to move as possible as you can.

Although the period of spring takes three months, with the appearance of the Japanese cherry blossom the party really started. Every year again.
And that’s a great miracle.
Also in 2020.
