There is something in the air. You can smell it. It seems like spring. Spring is coming! I cannot wait for it. Today is an rainy day but not on 2008-02-08 when I took this picture. Anyway you have to move in in life. No matter the date or the circumstances. “Always look at the bright side of life”, a well-known verse from a song. as far as I know this saying has based on truth.

I really like tulips. Maybe because I have been born in Holland, but most of all because of their form. Not any tulip, like people, the same. What an imagination!
As an explanation we say it depends on this or that, but we don’t know the real cause. “It’s a miracle”, like the song of Ilse de Lange.
A reality too. Good to know and to recognize.

One a misty morning I walked along the river called ‘de Merwede’ situated in the Netherlands. It means “wide water”. This river is part of the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta and is mostly fed by the river Rhine.
During summer bathers sit on one of the beaches along the river. It’s always a nice view. I left them home this time.
It’s a well known river during WWII too because of the people of Sliedrecht. They crossed the river at night and went to one of the creeks of “De Biesbosch” in order to hide people.

Sometimes it’s like dramatic play at the beach. This time I saw a windsurfer in his wetsuit. Flowing with the wind he engaged. the total environment was like a sad story. Clouds accompany the waves and reflect on the beach. A lonely seagull looks at it. I am passing by. The only enjoying people……

Nowadays it remains stormy. Like in 2007, December on the beach. It’s cloudy too. But a photographer always enjoys. Just when the weather is bad. I look for the reflection and succeeded in my efforts. Rule of thirds may be. Anyway….
